EpiKern (“we”, “us”) takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This page explains what data we collect through epikern.com, why we collect it and how to exercise your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French loi Informatique et Libertés.
1. Data controller
The data controller is EpiKern. You can reach us at contact@epikern.com for any question relating to your personal data.
2. What data we collect
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Your name;
- Your email address;
- Your phone number (optional);
- Your organisation (optional);
- The industry or solution you are interested in;
- The content of your message.
Purpose: to reply to your enquiry.
Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest
in answering business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).
3. Cookies
The site does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and does not deploy analytics scripts that profile visitors.
4. Recipients of the data
Personal data submitted through the contact form is accessible only to authorised members of the EpiKern team. We use the following sub-processor to operate the site:
- Netlify, Inc. — hosting and serverless functions.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.
5. Data retention
- Contact form data: kept for the time necessary to process your request and up to 3 years from the last interaction for commercial follow-up purposes.
6. International transfers
Some of our sub-processors (Netlify) may store or process data outside the European Union. When that is the case, the transfer is governed by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request rectification or erasure of that data;
- restrict or object to processing;
- obtain a portable copy of your data;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is the legal basis;
- lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority (CNIL).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@epikern.com. We will reply within one month of receiving your request.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorised disclosure. Communication with the site is encrypted via HTTPS.
9. Updates to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page, with its effective date at the top.
